I just came across these two great videos by 1st Avenue Machine. The first one, and advert for Audi, reminds me of an idea that Jack and Alastair were considering for their viral video project last term.

This second video moves on the Bullet Time concept developed for the Matrix by Timeslice Films for a pop promo ‘I Wasn’t Made For Fighting’ for the band Woodlands.

Talking to a couple of people before Christmas made me remember some of the difficulties students face moving out of home for the first time and making sure that they eat properly. Getting a well balanced diet on a budget is an important part of staying healthy. It can be difficult to making the most of your student loan, particularly towards the end of term. So this is the first of an occasional entry suggesting a simple recipe that my keep you and your house mates going through hard times.
Chilli (Homer Simpson’s favourite)

For 4 people

Ingredients

1 large onion
500g mince (or soya mince)
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
Dollop of tomato puree
Hot chilli powder
1 tin of kidney beans

Blog of the Week January 6, 2009

Being ill before Christmas i didn’t get chance to make the Blog of the Week Award as usual so have decided to make a belated award now. The award goes to Stumpy the Sheep or rather his creator Damien Williamson
Damien obviously kept himself busy over Christmas and i love the way he has evidence the production of Stumpy and the other characters and the problems encountered. It is really nice to see the development of the ideas and also just how much work Damien has put into this. Even though he had problems with the shooting stage he should be commended for his hard work and sharing the process with us. Well done Damien.

I came across this site that has some really interesting guerilla marketing campaigns. They seem like a natural follow on from the work of Banksy. Click on the image above to have a look at the site.
